| Alliance is a moderately early maturing, moderately short height variety best adapted to dryland production. It has fair to good winter hardiness, short coleoptile, very good tillering ability, moderately strong straw, and good milling/banking qualities. Alliance is similar to Redland in test weight and protein. Alliance was developed by Nebraska and the USDA-ARS from the cross Arkan/Colt/Chisholm sib. U.S. Protected Variety (PVPA 12994). Certificate No. 9400264. Alliance can oly be sold as a class of certified seed.
